What to Expect when Working With A Dietitian

Book An Appointment NowGetting Started: Your First Visit
Your journey begins with a comprehensive initial consultation, 85 mins. This is more than just a food diary review—we take time to understand your medical history, lab results, lifestyle, cultural preferences, and personal goals. We’ll also:
- Discuss your current eating habits and routines
- Identify nutrition priorities based on your health status
- Set realistic, personalized goals that feel doable
You’ll leave with a clear plan and the confidence to take your next step.
What We Focus On
Our practice specializes in:
- Kidney Health: From early-stage CKD to dialysis and transplant, we tailor nutrition to support kidney function, reduce complications, and improve quality of life.
- Chronic Disease Management: We help manage conditions like diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, weight loss with GLP-1 medications, and autoimmune disorders through evidence-based nutrition strategies.
- Wellness & Prevention: Whether you’re plant-based, kosher, gluten-free, or just looking to feel better, we support sustainable habits that nourish your body and mind.
Follow-Up Visits: Support That Sticks
Nutrition isn’t one-size-fits-all—and it’s not one-and-done. Follow-up visits are where the magic happens. We’ll:
- Adjust your plan based on progress and lab results
- Troubleshoot barriers like meal prep, dining out, or cravings
- Provide handouts, recipes, and tools tailored to your needs
- Celebrate wins and recalibrate goals as needed
What Makes Us Different
- Insurance-Based Care: We accept most major plans, making nutrition support more accessible.
- Renal Expertise: Our dietitians are board-certified and deeply experienced in kidney nutrition.
- Whole person focused: We use nutrition to treat your whole health and not just one specific health issue.
- Patient-Friendly Tools: Expect colorful handouts, practical meal guides, and visuals that make learning easy.
- Collaborative Approach: We work closely with your healthcare team to ensure seamless care.
